Jim Merkel Station Production

Voiceover Jim Merkel was the primary station voice for several years in the mid 1990s.

He’d read several pages of liners each week and it was then up to the production team to fashion the liners, promos and stagers heard on the station each day.

Henry Owens and Simon Nicks December 1993

The Late Henry Owens, one of the key figures behind the success of the station in the 90’s, plays the hits on Christmas Eve 1993.  Includes a spin of the legendary 252 Christmas song ‘Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer’!

Followed by the late Simon Nicks with the monring edition of the ‘Loveshack’.
